Bon Amis - my favourite local restaurant.  Does a beautiful Aberdeen Angus steak with fantastic chunky chips and as for the dauphinoise potatoes, they are perfection in a dish!  Excellent range of wines and champagnes.  The restaurant (which is approx 30 yds. away from us) has just be refurbished and is now open for lunch and Tue-Sat evenings.  Have the best of both worlds, go in to Bon Amis for your romantic meal and then come to the Boot & Shoe for liquid refreshment to wash it all down - et Voila! your perfect night out!  2008 update - I know we eat here fairly often and hence the reason for my comment - please could you change your menu more frequently?

Romanzio ?? - the new Italian on Love Lane in Nantwich.  Only visited here once so far!  We found the portions to be excellent value for money and fairly tasty.  Service was excellent even though it was very busy.  It has been very busy since it opened (approx. end of Aug 07) and you may struggle to get a table.  Will be going back for another visit soon.  2008 update - starters were great, service great, but the main courses not very good quality and a rather processed taste to it all!  Sorry guys.

Well it's about time Nantwich had something to rave about in the restaurant arena, and now it does.  Residence is a marvellous achievement.  We went very recently (early October) on a Monday night and had a beautiful meal from start to finish.  Everything was beautifully presented, piping hot and the taste experience was divine!.  Service was very pleasant and speedy.  The decor is sharp and modern, rich fabrics and colours are used throughout and I think it really works.  When you visit the little girls/boys room you will literally be 'blown away'...see for yourself.  Oh yes, we were told before we visited Residence that it was expensive.....stuff and nonsense!  If anything, we found it cheaper than expected, especially in light of the quality of food and beautiful surroundings.   Nige and I will most certainly be going back and soon!  Long may it continue.
